Chocolate Protein Cake Recipe

Chocolate cake has to be one of the hardest things to resist whilst dieting!

Indulge your sweet tooth the healthy way with this rich, moist Chocolate Protein Cake recipe that delivers delicious flavour while supporting your fitness goals.

Ingredients:

- 80g of oats (finely ground).
- 3 eggs.
- 1/2 tablespoon of baking powder.
- 2 scoops of chocolate flavoured protein powder.
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
- 250g of cottage cheese.
- 5 tablespoons of honey.
- 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder.

Method:

1. Firstly, preheat the oven to 200 C/ Gas mark 6.

2. Next, grease a cake tin (the tin should be approx. 30cm) or you can make cupcakes.

3. Beat the 3 eggs in a bowl.

4. Add all of the ingredients to the bowl, adding the baking powder last.

5. Leave the mixture for approx 20 minutes to allow the oats to soak.

6. Grab your blender and pour in the mixture.

7. Blend until smooth.

8. Pour the mixture into the prepared cake tin or cupcake cases.

9. Bake in the centre of the oven for 20 minutes.

10. Once baked, remove from the oven and leave to cool for 15-20 minutes.

Top Tip!

A great tip for baking cakes is to insert a skewer/knife into the centre of the cake when finished baking to ensure that all of the cake is baked to perfection.
