For every piece of fruit or veg you eat, you are replacing the un-healthier option or something you would usually snack on for something much better… so put away those biscuits and make a delicious smoothie or a fruit salad!

Of course we need some fat in our diets, just to balance it out. However, too much fat can lead to weight gain as fat provides 9 calories per gram! More than double that from carbohydrates and protein! Be sure to limit your sugar intake.

Physical activity can reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes, heart disease and stroke and of course help maintain a healthy weight! So when you’re half way through that morning jog or about to go swimming, remember what you’re doing will benefit your well-being right from when you start and in the future.

Skipping breakfast can result in binge eating and snacking during the day before your dinner. If you have breakfast before you leave the house on a morning, you are sure to have a great day! By doing this, you are fueling your body and mind and are guaranteed to have a brilliant day! With no stomachs rumbling and no staring at the clock until dinner.

Most drinks actually contain water, ( tea, coffee, milk, fruit juice, soft drinks and smoothies) Try to avoid added sugar in your drinks as this can increase risk of dental decay! This is why water is best for you and is the most hydrating.
