Woman loses 3.5st during her sleep
A woman has lost three-and-a-half stone during her sleep, having visited a hypnotist.
At 14st 7lb, Suzie Gibbs was told by a chiropractor that unless she lost weight she could face a lifetime of back pain, the Daily Mail reports.
Suzie then allowed herself to be hypnotised into imagining she was exercising while she was asleep.
The 56-year-old attended three hypnotherapy sessions where she had to visualise herself exercising and she also listened to a hypnosis CD each night for a month.
She told the newspaper that she lost a stone in a month and has lost another 2.5st since then.
“Within a week I’d lost a pound and I carried on gradually losing weight. My muscles felt more toned and tight all over,” Suzie explained.
Last month, research from the European Centre for Taste Sciences in Dijon, France, suggested that good quality sleep helps people to lose weight.
Participants in the study ate 22 per cent fewer calories after a night of ample rest compared to those who had a short night of sleep.
