‘Use scare tactics’ to give up fatty foods
People who find it hard to stick to a healthy diet have been advised to try using scare tactics to keep them on their weight loss regime.
Georgina Burnett, life coach and personal trainer at Footprintcoaching.org.uk, suggested that taking a strong approach can sometime help people to take decisive action on their behaviour.
She suggested taking some small steps over the food you eat, such as consuming more good fats from nuts and seeds could help to prevent dieters from reaching for fatty foods.
This will help to keep the blood sugar levels even and stop you from eating unhealthy foods.
“Get outside and move more – even walking more will give you the motivation to also eat healthily,” Ms Burnett added.
People looking for inspiration to help them with their weight loss plans could try writing down a list of things important to them, as a study found this can help to give people the confidence boost they need.
