Spanx donates slimming underwear to army overseas
Servicemen fighting in Afghanistan must have been somewhat bemused recently when they opened a parcel and found thousands of free samples of slimming underwear.
Spanx has kindly donated 10,000 cotton compression undershirts to US troops, which could come in handy if they get the chance to overindulge during the festive season.
However, in all seriousness, the Spanx shirts are designed to “comfortably firm the chest, flatten the stomach, support the lower back and improve posture”, so they may prove to be useful items of clothing for anyone feeling the effects of service in their lumbar region.
In a statement on the Spanx blog, chief executive Laurie Ann Goldman said: “We’re proud to donate Spanx Cotton Compression Undershirts to the men who go to battle for us every day. The shirts help men feel firmer and stand taller.”
There is now a whole range of slimming underwear available for men that will get them looking trimmer in no time.
