Singer loses 11 stone to fit in plane seat
An opera singer has transformed his career and his life after losing 11 stone in weight in order to fit into a plane seat.
Sion Goronwy Jones, 38, from Rhyduchaf, Wales, had avoided flying for many years because he simply could not fit into a regular plane seat without an extension belt, but he made up his mind to lose weight in order to embrace air travel.
Whereas before he had struggled to maintain a weight loss regimen due to comments about his size while exercising, he stick to a new routine of regular workouts and also cut out crisps, sweets and fizzy drinks, and the weight soon began to fall off.
He has now gone from weighing 30 stone and wearing size 52 jeans to 19 stone, which is far closer to what his ideal body weight should be at 6ft 7in.
"I now have a huge boost in confidence, being more confident in appearance and being able to shop for clothes on the high street without having to go to specialised stores," Mr Jones told the Daily Mail.
