Post-pregnancy weight loss ‘is easy if you know how’
Losing weight after pregnancy is a problem for many women, but there are ways in which people can achieve effective post-pregnancy weight loss and keep the pounds off, one expert has claimed.
Louise Whyte, founder of Penelope Fitstar and a personal trainer specialising in pregnancy and post natal exercise, said that post natal classes are a great way to trim down.
Unlike many other methods of slimming, these classes are specially tailored to new mums, and so people do not have to adapt the routine in any way to fit in.
She explained that the most important point is that the instructor of the class is qualified to teach post natal mums.
Things like running should be approached with extreme caution, so new mums should look for classes that will work on their posture and help their abdominal muscles to come back together, while also helping them to lose weight.
"Classes specifically for post natal mums are ideal as you won't be tempted to do unsuitable exercises that may be included in other classes," Ms Whyte concluded.
