Plus-size model loses more than 4 st
An ex plus-size model claims she is happier than ever having lost over four stone.
Holly Mitchell earned up to £450 a day as a plus-size model for companies like M&S, Marina Rinaldi and M&Co but said that she disliked being fussed over for being fat.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Ms Mitchell said she may have looked confident at the time but that inside she felt unattractive and like a failure.
At age 26, she was a size 16 to 18, and weighed just under 16 stone.
“I’d been overweight as long as I could remember. My dad was overweight, as were my paternal grandparents. I assumed it would be my destiny too,” she explained.
Ms Mitchell said that the turning point that motivated her to lose weight was being laughed at while she was on a catwalk.
Through eating healthily and exercising she went from 15 st to 11 st by September 2009.
Since then she has lost even more weight and is now 9 st 12 lb and claims to be the happiest she has ever been.
Earlier this week, it was reported in Closer magazine that Chloe Madeley, daughter of famous TV duo Richard and Judy, had lost 6 lb in just one week thanks to a gruelling exercise boot-camp.
