Morbidly obese man achieves 200lb weight loss
A man who was diagnosed as morbidly obese has managed to lose 200lbs with the aid of a chocolate diet.
Peter Ajello, who was 32 stone at his heaviest, shed half of his body weight in just 16 months.
He used to eat around 24,000 calories a day but reduced this dramatically after he had a stroke.
Mr Ajello cut all junk food and alcohol out of his diet but allowed himself small portions of dark chocolate when he had really strong cravings for these banned foods.
He also enlisted the help of a personal trainer and shed three and a half stone within the first month of his diet.
After five months, he won a bet with his friends by managing to lose seven and a half stone.
"If someone had told me two years ago that I would weigh 14 stone now, I would have laughed in their face," the Daily Mail reports Mr Ajello as saying.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Anthony Hopkins had lost five stone through sticking to a harsh diet and a strict exercise regime.
