Food supplements ‘are useful to those trying to lose weight’
Women who are trying to lose weight can benefit from taking supplements, an expert has claimed.
Dr Sarah Brewer, nutritionist, author and founder of Natural Health Guru, said that people need to safeguard their intake of vitamins and nutrients when they cut down their food intake.
“A multivitamin and mineral supplement is a good idea … [as it] combines vitamins and minerals with probiotics for digestive health,” she advised.
Dr Brewer went on to say that some supplements help boost stamina and the production of energy in those trying to lose weight fast to fit into their skinny jeans.
She recommended green tea extract as being good for speeding up the metabolism and fibre supplements for helping to maintain bowel regularity.
Last month, a study conducted by Japanese scientists and published in the Nutrition Journal revealed that black tea can prevent weight gain after a high-fat diet has been consumed.
