Focus on fun when picking an exercise regime

Offering tips to people looking for a new way to lose weight, Charlene Hutsebaut, exercise expert for The De-Stress Diet, said it is often a case of trial and error, as what works for some people will leave others with a feeling of dread.
"What one should look for is how they feel during the activity. Is it fun? Does it make them feel good? Does it enhance their body awareness?" Ms Hutsebaut said.
She added it is important to set realistic goals, as having expectations that are too high about how much exercise you will be able to do often leads to disappointment.
Opting for a Mediterranean diet could also help people to have a healthier lifestyle in 2012, as a study by the University of Gothenburg recently showed it can help people to live longer.
