Adele wears four pairs of Spanx to the Grammys!
Award winning popstar Adele made news this week when she admitted to wearing four pairs of Spanx under a dress that wowed the audiences at the Grammys. The UK songstress was not afraid to let her little secret out!
Spanx shapewear is a line of undergarments that have been specifically designed to target problem areas quickly and effectively, giving the appearance of a smoother, slimmer, more streamlined silhouette. Their main selling point is that they are a real confidence booster and are suitable for many different shapes and sizes.
These wonder products are now no longer just a secret amongst plus-sized women, the male population are now fans too! Spanx for Men more recently became available, which includes everything from vests and t-shirts right down to boxers and briefs.
Spanx are now prized possessions amongst many celebrities and have been flaunted by the Kardashians, Oprah, Jonathon Ross, and of course Adele!
Adele is well known for her curvy figure, but the singer who has always embraced her size publicly wanted to help control her stomach and butt at this year’s Grammy Awards and decided Spanx would do the trick.
Although she does admit to taking a couple pairs off before she hit the stage to perform, Adele still looked amazing in her black Giorgio Armani gown. The ‘Someone Like You’ singer wanted to look her absolute best on the night in which she took six awards home.
Adele is one of the best-selling female artists in the world and in a recent interview with NBC’s Matt Lauer, she lets us know that she’s just like the rest of us! She jokes that she had gone a bit control pants crazy, “I had three or four pairs of Spanx on that night but I loved it,” she said.
She also confesses to Spanx Shapewear not being a part of her original wardrobe choice admitting, “I actually had another dress made and I ended up passed out in it. It had a corset and I was like, ‘I can’t wear that,’ so I ended up wearing this instead”.
Adele has often been criticised for her weight but most notably by Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld, who stated that she was “a little too fat”. The singer replied by insisting that she was “proud” of her body.
Well Adele, we think you look fantastic and have every right to be happy with your body!
