Adele ‘looking to become healthier and fitter’
Pop sensation Adele has acquired the services of a personal trainer in order to get back in shape following her throat surgery last year.
The Someone Like You singer was struck down with throat problems in the summer of 2011, with the condition so serious that she had to cancel a number of gigs as part of her sold-out tour.
As well as giving up smoking in order to accelerate her recovery, The Sun reports that Adele has now set out a new fitness programme.
In order to stay healthy and in shape, the singer is undertaking twice-weekly exercise sessions with her personal trainer.
On top of this, Adele has also taken up Pilates after a recommendation from comedian Alan Carr.
A source commented to The Sun: "She really wants to get healthier, now that she's halfway there.
"She had always been curious about taking up Pilates but until recently there just hadn't been any time."
Meanwhile, Loose Women star Lynda Bellingham has recently told Woman's Own magazine that she is hoping to stay in shape by following the Dukan diet.
